This is a drumming group that promotes women learning drumming by organizing drum workshops, drum circles, and drumming events. A core group of experienced women drummers, some from the Batucada Belles, a Brazilian drum group, play at social justice events. Our first few meetings will guide the direction of this group.  We will explore sound forms, learn simple percussion and drumming techniques, and play a few rhythms.
