We have a number of members that join us regularly from Fort Myers, Naples, Sanibel, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda as well as visitors from all around Florida and the world. Bellydrum is a meetup dedicated to the teaching and performance of Middle Eastern, Turkish and Greek rhythms on the doumbek, riq, tar or zils. Beginners to advanced drummers are welcome as long as they are serious about learning and playing specific rhythms. Bellydrum is not a drum circle, but a place where you can actually learn to play specific rhythms on the doumbek.
