Hey Y'all! Trained in African drumming but flexible enough to play Middle Eastern, Latin, or whatever! Been playing bass drums lately in support of dumbeks and ashikos. It does me good to see audience members dance or quietly enjoy the groove. Would
Karen (De Organiza) and the assistants (De Udda Organizas) are great at getting the information out to the membership! There seems to be something happening all the time; often at the SAME time! With gas prices as they are, a great venue is easily a one tank trip...and pert near on the bus lines! However, if wonderlust should set in, there are established drumcircle Meetups across the continent. Dancers and Drummers are becoming a network, exchanging tips and info about technique and reputable vendors. For anyone looking to have fun or get serious about drum & dance (you CAN do both y'know!) this is a great place to start. We also treasure the addition of String and Woodwind musicians to this Meetup in order to help us expand our collective repertoire! This year we have been very busy organizing Meetups in that one can find a venue almost every day of the week! Come. Join us. Bring the kids. Have fun. Get your music on.

"Hello Deepak! Pleased to have met you & Madhu at Lloyd House. Perhaps I'll come back this month if I know you will be there. Bring something to play next time, because it is a fun challenge to arrange something around another instrument!"

"Surprise! It was indoors this week. Many new faces and a few longtime acquaintances. There will be 2 more Meetups planned at Stillpoint in November, and will start again in the spring. Regardless it would be great to get some woodwinds to help out."
