I realize that a lot of you will attend Raquy's birthday tradition in Cincinnati of a workshop that afternoon at Leapin' Lizard Lounge in Covington. I hope to join you all for one serious education in dumbek technique! You can hang out for her show which will be a rocking experience indeed! ...Or you could pop in at TJ's Place to get a bite and practice your new chops with belly dancers....

    •  Due to the Keshvar-Raquy performance, turnout was a bit light. The regulars were there and truly we enjoyed our venue. 'Twas indeed a day of reunions, this time with Dorian Hijaz members Kabir & Ken. Yes we did create that groove for which DH is known, with Joe rockin' a doumbek. Dancers representing 3 or 4 companies gracefully moved to the groove... I'm informed that many of the dancers are relatively new students! In our midst we had two known Didge players, but neither had his instrument! What a lost opportunity! However, I gotta give a shout to Tallulah for her drumming debut!
    •  It was a slow start, but buillt into a great evening.
