**ON TRAVELS AT THIS TIME, THE GROUP IS NOT CURRENTLY MEETING BUT ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HOST A MEETUP**

Welcome! OpenDrum has been meeting for over 4 years now and we hope to keep meeting for a long time. Our group is really designed for people who love to drum and who don't mind just coming together in a casual atmosphere with all levels of drummers and just seeing what the day brings.

In the summer we enjoy meeting at the New Hartford Sherrill Brook Park. We usually meet on the gazebo on saturdays, once a month, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Everyone tries to remember to bring some form of a chair to sit in and whatever type of beverage they like to drink. We usually have a couple extra chairs and drums, but always encourage people to bring extras if they have them because we never know who is going to stop by and join us. We also enjoy just hopping around and playing different drums and percussion instruments. We rarely sit with the same drum the whole time! This makes it more fun and interesting.

We almost always have at least one if not more of the following instruments at our circles: djembe, conga, asheiko, doubek, irish, doun doun, bongo, tambourine, bells, claves, maracas, guiro, cajon, agogo, and probably a few other types of things too! I just don't know all the names. No matter what, we always have a variety.
