Welcome, Pittsburgh Hand Drummers!

We are the area's premier freeform drum jam group. This is a true Jam Session based on 'Festival Drumming', and though we have players of all levels, some basic level knowledge is quite helpful. It's also helpful if you have your own instrument...we usually have extra's but they are not intended as 'loaners', but rather to offer up some options/diversity in the mix/play.

We are not a "facilitated" group, not a "workshop", and not a "class". It's important to understand this concept as many people come expecting something else, and are thus disappointed.

We are a very open minded and welcoming group who love to get together and have a good time with percussion. Everything else just falls into place on it's own.
